What is Faith in the Family?
Faith in the Family is a network of families connected together to support each other in making room for Jesus in everyday life.
Many families long for a living relationship with Jesus in their home but find it hard to create natural ways for practicing their faith together. We already have plenty of resources available, but research and feedback from parents reveal that many miss out or give up of different reasons.
Awana, Family Focus (YWAM) and FriBU want to change this situation. We believe families need to stand together with other families in order to grow further in living out their faith at home. That is the reason we are launching a network called Faith in the Family. We are vulnerable when we walk alone but we are much stronger when we stand together!
How does Faith in the Family work?
The most important part of the network is the local group gatherings, where 2 or 3 families meet to share experiences, pray and encourage one another to live with and for Jesus in their daily life. It takes time to change a family culture. And for that to happen we need others to walk alongside us—supporting us and holding us accountable over time!
Faith in the Family also includes three digital webinars for parents. These provide practical teaching and time for each couple or single parents to reflect and share. At the end of each webinar we will offer different faith practices which the parents can choose from to put into action with their kids and teenagers.
